Individual Membership

Head of Individual Membership

Joan manages the Individual membership team which is responsible for the recruitment and retention of individual members as well as fulfilling an excellent customer service role. The team also works to support the Head of Membership Communities, responsible for IoF’s network of National, Regional and Special Interest Groups as well as the Directors responsible for Organisational members and Corporate supporters.

Matt Doyle headshotMatthew Doyle

Individual Membership Officer

Matthew provides support to all individual IoF members, with particular focus on facilitating new applications and providing good follow-up support for those in their first year. Matthew helps members to feel connected and engaged with the IoF as a whole, as well as with relevant Regional and Special Interest Groups. He is able to inform them of learning and networking opportunities and help with any queries.

Lucy AlvelosLucy Alvelos

Interim Membership Officer

Lucy plays an integral role in the Individual Membership team,  providing support to individual IoF members whether they are new to IoF or have been members for many years.  Working alongside Matt, she helps with queries from all those with an interest in IoF membership as well as liaising with colleagues in the Professional Development team aligning membership with qualifications and career development. Lucy works in the membership team for three days a week, providing support to small charities through the OCS  programme for two days a week.

Learning Development

Annie ClarkeAnnie Clarke

Head of Learning Development

Annie heads an Office for Civil Society-funded project which provides small charities with learning initiatives. Annie leads on the development and delivery of face to face training, online learning, mentoring, and a leadership programme and consultancy.

Emma HickleyEmma Hickley

Learning Development Manager

Emma works to provide fundraisers with tools to assist their learning and development including online CPD, bespoke and in house face to face training, mentoring programmes, online learning solutions and qualifications.

Learning Development Officer

Lucy AlvelosLucy Alvelos

Learning Assistant

Lucy provides administrative support to the Head of Learning Development in the delivery of Office for Civil Society-funded project . Lucy handles the booking process for all OCS training courses, and help co-ordinate regional OCS face-to-face training sessions. Lucy is also the point of contact for Approved Trainers delivering OCS training.

Ruth is responsible for the production, delivery and overall success of IoF events, including National Convention, National Awards and the portfolio of IoF Conferences.

Roli Barker

Training and Events Manager

Roli is responsible for the logistical aspects of National Convention, the National Awards and one-day conferences. Her role includes liaising with event speakers, sponsors and suppliers, managing the National Convention volunteer scheme and the National Awards nomination process.

Glenys Garth-ThorntonGlenys Garth-Thornton

Training Product Manager

Glenys works to help fundraisers identify which IoF Academy courses and qualifications meet their learning and development needs. Responsibilities included developing relevant qualification and course materials online and offline, liaising with IoF trainers and of course, talking and listening to fundraisers about their views on training to help inform the IoF Academy’s development.
