Policy briefings and updates
Our policy team works to deliver a strong representative voice on behalf of individual and organisational members that influences and effects change for the fundraising profession wherever it is needed.
We work in consultation with our members to develop policy positions on a wide range of issues, which in the recent past have included the Government’s Giving White Paper, Gift Aid, the proposed abolition of cheques and mobile text donations.
Through the development of our policies, we seek to influence government and other key stakeholders and to seek sector-wide support for our policy positions.
One Year On: Changes to charity fundraising
Since the summer of 2015 there has been a huge amount of activity at every level to respond to the issues and to address examples of poor fundraising practice highlighted. There is certainly more to do, but we believe that the last year has seen the charity fundraising sector set itself firmly on the right course to rebuild public trust.
