This is the premier fundraising training course in the UK and is recognised as the industry standard. It has been devised for those involved in fundraising in a paid, unpaid, full or part-time role.
The main requirement for registration is that you must be actively involved in fundraising or its management. It is divided into two parts:
- Fundraising Practice Module
This module focuses on the process involved in practical fundraising linked to the 'Fundraising Cycle'. It identifies the skills and knowledge that candidates need to demonstrate effective fundraising practice. - Managing Fundraising Module
This module concerns the management of fundraising and fundraisers. Linking fundraising to the strategic aims of the organisation, together with the strategic vision for fundraising, is vital if fundraisers are to contribute to organisational development.
Membership of the Institute of Fundraising is mandatory for the award of the Certificate. The individual, or their employer on their behalf, should consider taking out Associate Membership of the Institute of Fundraising.
This will serve two purposes, firstly this will enable the individual to access important information relating to their job and keep up to date with developments in fundraising through the comprehensive Members Only section.
For the line manager it will mean a significantly enhanced return on the investment made in training and the cost of this membership could be factored into the cost of the course.
In recognition of the wide range of skills and abilities this of candidates this Certificate meets a range of opportunities to enable Candidates to demonstrate their fundraising competence. There are two routes:
