Diploma in Direct Marketing

The proposed Diploma in Direct Marketing will be designed to equip new or aspiring managers with the tools, techniques and resources to manage a Direct Marketing department and aimed at people who have been working in a DM capacity for 2 years or more. The course includes content and assessment related to people management and therefore learners should either be in, or aiming to progress to a managerial role within the direct marketing field.

This qualification is likely to be comprised of six units, covering the following key areas:

  • Unit 1: Developing a Direct Marketing strategy
  • Unit 2: Managing the DM mix
  • Unit 3: Making a case for investment
  • Unit 4: Managing a DM team
  • Unit 5: Working across departments and gaining organisational input
  • Unit 6: Managing External Relationships

Assessment for the Diploma level qualification will include assignments, a presentation, a 3-hour exam and a reflective account.
