The Fundraising and Campaigning Conference is on 23 September 2008 at the New Connaught Rooms, London, WC2.
Fundraising and campaigning are often treated as separate entities with different aims and objectives.
Fears of alienating supporters by sending out mixed messages, mutual suspicions between departments, and a lack of shared and coherent objectives and strategies prevent many organisations from merging the two departments.
It is important to remember, however, that fundraisers rely on supporters’ donations in the same way as campaigners rely on their activities. By recognising the supporter as a central part of your campaign and fundraising initiatives you can develop an integrated approach which will benefit your whole organisation in the long term.
This conference will take a look at traditional campaigning organisations as well as service delivery charities who have taken a more integrated approach to their supporter strategies.
The conference presents a unique networking opportunity and will provide practical information to apply to your organisation. Case studies and interactive sessions will encourage controversial debates and lateral thinking.
