NI Mentoring Scheme
We are delighted to announce the launch of the Institute of Fundraising Northern
Ireland Mentoring Scheme supported by Edwards & Co
The NI Mentoring Scheme is a fantastic opportunity for members to be involved as volunteer Mentors or Mentees, with full training and support.
The mentoring programme has been designed to offer junior and middle management fundraisers access to the experience and knowledge of senior fundraisers and individuals to help them over a twelve month period on a range of work related issues.
The mentoring programme will build on and learn from the successful mentoring schemes run in the South West and more recently in London.
The scheme will offer mentees a flexible service that will consist of face to face, email and telephone support of around 4 hours a month. This will usually be broken into approximately 1 and a half to 2 hour slots. Mentors will assist with a range of issues - which could include: practical fundraising issues, strategic planning, budgeting, working relationships including managing trustees and line managers, achieving better understanding about their role and emotional support.
If you would like to volunteer as a mentor, or to be a mentee, please print off the mentoring brochure and send off the expression of interest (EOI) as shown. If successful, you will then be sent an application form for you to complete and return. The brochure for this year's scheme can be downloaded here:
