To provide participants with a broad-based introduction to the basics of fundraising.

Those new to fundraising, or with experience of only one aspect of the art. It is aimed mainly at those from small and medium sized charities, but may be equally valuable for those with little experience of fundraising from larger organisations who are working on locally based projects.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Identify where the money is and how to go about securing it
- Be aware of how to appeal for money, using a checklist provided
- Develop a donor database, using a tool provided
- Requesting monies
- Be aware of how to approach individuals, trusts, companies and foundations
- Design publicity materials and writing personal requests for money
