MARIF

The Museum and Arts Researchers in Fundraising group (MARIF) is an informal way for prospect researchers working in the museum and arts sector to keep in touch with one another, share ideas and problems and to arrange regular get-togethers. They aim to meet every few months, principally in London, to discuss issues relevant to researching in the arts environment.

The group is currently co-chaired by the Natural History Museum Research Team: Helen Standring, Julie Baker and Fran Hortop.

To join MARIF, please go to the MARIF Yahoo user group or email Fran Hortop.

Regional Groups

There are now several regional networking groups for prospect researchers across the UK. They are open to all who carry out research for charities, educational establishments and voluntary organisations in their area. They each hold regular meetings throughout the year to discuss issues of relevance to their area and to exchange ideas, provide support, and to socialise. You do not need to be a member of RiF or the IoF to join them.

RiF Scotland

Meet up quarterly with members taking it in turns to host the meetings. For more information about their next meeting, please email RiF Committee member Rhoda McIntire.
