Researchers in Fundraising (RiF) is very pleased to announce its new
bursaries scheme, expanded for 2010, to help people involved in prospect
research develop their skills and experience.
APRA bursary
The first bursary, worth £1,000, is for the recipient to attend the
2010 APRA Conference in California.
APRA is the premier international organisation for prospect researchers.
Their annual conference is attended by over 1,000 researchers from
around the world and is the perfect opportunity to learn about the
latest trends, techniques and resources in prospect research. The APRA
bursary will contribute £1,000 towards the registration, travel and
accommodation costs of the conference (any further costs will be the
responsibility of the winner).

CILIP/TFPL bursaries
The other two bursaries are for courses run in the UK by CILIP and TFPL.
CILIP (The Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals)
is the leading UK professional body for librarians, information
specialists and knowledge managers. TFPL is a specialist professional
services company focusing on knowledge, information, library, records
and web & content management. Each CILIP/TFPL bursary is worth up to
£500 and is for any course relevant to prospect research run by CILIP
or TFPL. Courses offered include finding company information, and
training in internet search techniques, among many others. The bursaries
cover the cost of the course only, not travel or accommodation costs.
