FreePint
FreePint is a global network of people who find, use, manage and share work-related information. Their forum is called the Freepint Bar, where you can post Web-related questions, help other members and discuss issues arising in the FreePint Newsletter. It has a searchable archive. The regular FreePint newsletter contains a very useful section called My Favourite Tipples, in which guest contributors discuss their five favourite websites.
THINK Resource
The brainchild of RiF committee member Matthew Ide, Think Resource (formerly fResource) is a unique online community for researchers and fundraisers from around the world to come together and share their knowledge about all things research related. Updated daily, it features news, events, resources, and jobs of interest to the research community.
Prospect Research UK
Sometimes confused with RiF, PRUK is the leading independent forum for UK-based prospect researchers. Keep abreast of the latest research developments, news, jobs, etc. or search the archives for past research wisdom (whatever problems you face, the chances are someone else has faced them before and asked the discussion group for help).
The Prospect Research Toolkit
Created by former RiF chair Mathew Iredale, The Prospect Research Toolkit contains advice, information and support for prospect researchers throughout the UK. There is also a regularly updated weblog which includes such useful features as research tip of the week and Website of the Week.
SupportingAdvancement.com
Brian Dowling's impressive site claims to be aimed primarily at those in higher education, but the comprehensive section on research resources is relevant to all researchers in the non-profit sector.
