What does my organisation have to do to comply with the new regulations?
If you wish to make promotional or marketing calls to companies, you must check your list of numbers with the Telephone Preference Service register and make sure you do not call any number listed.
You also must not call any company that has individually told you that they do not wish to receive calls from your organisation.
Sole traders and unincorporated partnerships have had the right to have their numbers registered on the TPS from the start of the service and you should continue to check these numbers against the TPS as well as all other businesses from now on.
