The Charities Act became law at the end of 2006.
The success of the Act lies in the development of effective regulation to support it.
The Institute is fully engaged with the Office of the Third Sector and the Charity Commission, which has been charged with developing the regulations and guidance for this Act.
There is a two-and-a-half-year implementation plan and the Institute is collaborating with the working parties that support the development of regulation in the areas related to fundraising.
