Transparency & Accountability - the ImpACT Coalition

Improving Accountability, Clarity and Transparency in the Charity Sector

ImpACT CoalitionThe Institute is one of a number of charities and trade bodies working together to promote better public understanding of how charities work and the benefits they bring to society.

The ImpACT (Improving Accountability, Clarity and Transparency) Coalition has committed to meet a number of principles, to promote six key themes through their work and success criteria on which progress can be judged.

A Question and Answer document (130kb) is now widely available for charities to circulate amongst staff when answering questions about the sector and their own fundraising practices.

The Institute has also produced a new Code of Fundraising Practice, ‘Accountability and Transparency in Fundraising’.

The Coalition seeks to represent the views of the full range and diversity of voluntary sector organisations and is aiming to involve the majority of the top 100 fundraising charities in addition to a broad representation of smaller voluntary organisations from across the UK.

Join the likes of Shelter, WWF-UK, Cancer Research UK, Oxfam, UNICEF, the British Red Cross, NSPCC and RNID, alongside the sector bodies including the Institute, NCVO, ACEVO and CFDG to play your part in this key area of work.
