Postal Strike
How charities are coping with the union action
In the light of the current postal dispute, the Institute has produced a report showing the effect which the strikes are having on charities and pointing to some of the steps which are being taken by some of its members organisations in order to mitigate the effects of the strikes.
The strikes are likely to have a dramatic effect on all charities in the run-up to Christmas. Even if the dispute ends soon, charities will continue to be affected by the huge backlog of items which will have built up.
We hope that the report will be of use to charities at this time. The Institute will continue to monitor the situation and if members wish to contribute further views and information, do please contact Louise Richards, Director of Policy and Campaigns.
