Policy & Campaigns

The Policy and Campaigns team at the Institute of Fundraising works to ensure that the UK environment is both conducive to fundraising and favourable for fundraisers.

Areas of work that we are currently engaged in are:

• Reform of Gift Aid
• Roll out of three-year tax-effective giving training programme to smaller charities
• Overseeing an independent Payroll Giving Review
• Updating of Codes of Fundraising Practice in line with Charities Act 2006
• Working closely with Government in development of regulation and implementation of the Charities Act 2006
• Supporting the work of the impACT coalition to achieve greater transparency
• Liaison with government and voluntary sector bodies to improve the environment for fundraisers
• Providing enhanced information and fundraising tools for members of the Institute of Fundraising
