Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act

The Act received Royal Assent on 14th July 2005. It is being introduced in stages and secondary legislation drafted. OSCR (Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator) was established through Part 1 of the Act and is the independent regulator and registrar of Scottish Charities.

Further Information

Often, laws will be the same for charities in England, Wales and Scotland, however it is important to check with OSCR to determine if this is the case. This is particularly important for charities engaged in cross-border activities.

To talk to someone from OSCR, call 01382 220446 between 08:30 and 16:30 Monday to Friday.
