Donorphone - February 2009

Donorphone is a company which allows donations to be collected over the phone by an automated system. This enables donations to be taken 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and looks to minimise the loss rate by processing donations instantly. Callers are connected directly to the merchant bank so are able to find out whether their donation has been successful within 10 - 15 seconds, which allows them to rectify any problems where possible.

To personalise the service, fundraising organisations can record messages to be played during the call and are able to update this message as frequently as desired.
