Cleversquirrel - October 2009
Making donations through policy payments
Cleversquirrel is a system which allows donations to be made to charities from policy payments that include a fee to financial advisors.
Part of the cost of most policies includes an annual fee to a financial advisor yet if there is no appointed financial advisor, this money cannot be removed from the policy cost. Cleversquirrel seeks to uncover policies where this financial advisor fee remains unclaimed and subsequently claims it for charities.
The system means that donations can be made to charities at no additional cost to the donor, as the money is already incorporated into the cost of their policy.
