LUUP is a financial services provider that offers mobile and online payment solutions.
A Norwegian company developed in 2000, LUUP has a large e-money license which enables money transfers across Europe. The system was launched in the UK and Germany in March last year and is regulated by the FSA here, and their equivalent in any country they work in.
With approximately 80,000 customers and accepted by approximately 270 business in the UK and Germany, LUUP continues to grow rapidly. The system has undergone sustained testing in Norway before its UK launch to ensure its successful application.
The system allows anyone over the age of 14 to donate money by sending a SMS text message to a designated number stating the value of the donation. This can be done anytime, anywhere. This facilitates spontaneous donations in response to marketing campaigns.
As an introductory offer, LUUP are pledging to add 20% to first-time donations via LUUP, of up to £25.
