PATRONcard - June 2006

Cardform is a card payments management company, based in Dublin. It has developed prepaid card solutions, such as PATRONcard, that use conventional payment systems in retailers and financial institutions and provides same day processing of transactions and statements.

Cardform offers charities a PATRONcard that has numerous applications. Charity supporters could use the card at retailers to:

• make a donation to a charity or a group of charities of their choice
• donate or transfer the cash value of retailer loyalty points to charity
• 'top-up' the card with credit for a future donation
• serve as an online payment card for charity lotteries
• use as a charity shop debit card
• be used as an identity card for volunteers, enabling charities to reward volunteers with credits.

Uses in the corporate world could include enhancing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), perhaps by providing discounts to cardholders or to employees doing voluntary work for charity.

Cardform believe that there is potential for successful partnerships between charities and large, household name retailers.
