Self-Regulation and Organisational Membership

Institute members shape self-regulation

The Fundraising Standards Board is the public-facing complaints mechanism for the self-regulation of fundraising.

The Institute of Fundraising’s Codes of Fundraising Practice are the bedrock of the new scheme. The Codes are constantly developed by our members as the legal and best practice guidelines on all aspects of fundraising techniques.

Organisational membership provides charities with the opportunity to shape the Codes and ensure that they remain practical and beneficial for all fundraisers, while preserving the integrity of the profession and the support of the donor.

The Institute of Fundraising will absorb up to a third of the cost of signing up to the Fundraising Standards Board for its Organisational members for one year from the launch of the scheme.
