The ImpACT (Improving Accountability, Clarity & Transparency) Coalition is delighted to welcome three additions to its steering group.
The new steering group members are Tris Lumley, New Philanthropy Capital, Caroline Schwaller, NAVCA, and Karen Barnes, Scope.
Tris Lumley leads NPC Tools, a new team developing practical tools for charities and funders that help them to measure, analyse and communicate results. This team is also developing NPC’s approach to analysing charities’ results - the changes they create in people’s lives - first published in Funding success in 2005.
Tris has also co-authored a number of reports within the community sector, on child abuse, adult and child refugees, and older people.
Before NPC, Tris worked in management consultancy at Deloitte Consulting, as a due diligence and research analyst at Scientific Generics and as a research analyst at FreshMinds.
Caroline Schwaller has 20 years governance, management and project development experience in the voluntary and community sector.
In particular, in working with a number of membership organisations, Caroline recognises that accountability and transparency are key. Currently, she is Chief Executive of Keighley Voluntary Services in the Bradford District, LSP Board member; and Vice Chair of NAVCA (National Assoc for Voluntary and Community Action).
Caroline is also Chair of Building Communities Partnership and Bradford District Infrastructure, a Consortium member of BURA panel: Community Awards for best practice in regeneration, a National Common Purpose Graduate and IdeA Accredited Peer and a trustee/director of a community trust and a regional supported housing organisation.
Karen Barnes joined Scope in 1997. In her current role as Head of Individual Giving, Karen is responsible for supporter acquisition, development and care as well as legacies and the fundraising database.
Before joining Scope she was marketing manager at the arts charity Youth & Music working on a programme to build a younger audience for performing arts events across the UK.
Alan Gosschalk, Chair of the ImpACT Coalition says:
'We are delighted that Tris Lumley, Caroline Schwaller and Karen Barnes will join us on the ImpACT steering group. These appointments will greatly strengthen the Coalition’s influence, and we look forward to their input, welcoming their ideas and strategies.'
Richard Marsh, Director of the ImpACT Coalition comments:
'The appointment of Tris Lumley and Caroline Schwaller will add a new dimension to the Coalition whilst the input of Karen Barnes represents the commitment of Scope to the process of accountability and transparency in our sector. The ImpACT steering group looks to refresh itself on a regular basis.'
