There are just four weeks to go until the Institute of Fundraising’s (‘Institute’) National Convention 2008, now in its 19th year. The highlight of the fundraising calendar, the event is the largest gathering of fundraisers outside the USA.
With a programme developed by a group of senior representatives from fundraising organisations, National Convention continues to provide an unrivalled experience for a broad range of charities, trusts and associations. Highlights of National Convention 2008 include:
- Plenary sessions from Bob Champion, a jockey who battled cancer, Nicola Horlick, city ‘superwoman’ who has achieved goals against all odds, and Duncan Goose, sector guru and entrepreneur turned fundraiser;
- Three exclusive ‘Focus On’ conference days examining events and face-to-face fundraising, and revealing the ‘six secrets to being a great fundraiser’;
- Over 140 workshops examining all fundraising disciplines;
- More than 200 expert speakers from across the sector;
- In-depth training for senior fundraising managers with Henley Management Centre.
The National Convention is an annual event targeted at fundraisers, public relations, communications, marketing and policy professionals, alongside top-level management and CEOs working in charities, arts, health and education organisations across the UK.
