Vodafone Congratulated for Better Charity text Donation Rates

In response to the news that Vodafone has announced that all charities will now receive 90% of a donation of £1, or more, given by a Vodafone customer, Lindsay Boswell, Chief Executive of the Institute of Fundraising, says:

'This is fantastic news – congratulations to Vodafone for supporting mobile phone donations in this way.

'Our former Chair, Joe Saxton, was commissioned to lobby the mobile phone industry so that the charges of donating through text message are reduced. I recognise that it’s taken the contributions of many to make this latest development happen, but I now challenge other mobile phone networks to follow suit.'
