A new e-learning website from the Institute of Fundraising offers the first online general fundraising training from the professional body for fundraising.
Fundraising Learning Online (‘FLO’) is a comprehensive resource which has been launched today. The site allows fundraisers to learn techniques and skills from other fundraisers conveniently, in their own time and at their own pace.
Course content is easy to follow, with users able to set up a personal profile which helps them to track their progress, allowing the review of responses to questions and scores achieved.
There is also the option to contact other fundraisers, and share experiences, through a discussion forum.
The first course - ‘All About Fundraising’ - is designed as an introduction for everyone, from new fundraising staff and volunteers, through to chief executives and trustees who make strategic decisions about fundraising.
Ten further technique-specific courses are planned additions to the site; all courses are to be based on the Fundraising National Occupational Standards.
