A hugely exciting new development in the Institute’s learning offer is launched this week. We are delighted to announce that Professor Adrian Sargeant and Stephen Pidgeon have established a faculty specifically for the delivery of the Certificate in Fundraising Management. This new route takes an academic approach and combines a world class faculty with the latest sector research.
The course will be taught in Central London in three intensive blocks of two days and a range of teaching and learning methods will be employed inluding lectures, case studies and group discussions. The course will be assessed through a combination of coursework (a planning assignment and a reflective management essay) and a final three hour written examination.
This new means of achieving the Certificate has the advantage of totalling only six days of teaching, and it is very competitively priced with the existing routes. The cost includes registration, training, the award and the first year of membership as a fully certificated member of the Institute of Fundraising - MinstF(Cert).
Lindsay Boswell, Chief Executive of the Institute of Fundraising is delighted to have both Adrian Sargeant and Stephen Pidgeon on board and says: “The Certificate in Fundraising Management is the only recognised fundraising qualification in the UK and parts of Europe. This new route takes an academic approach and combines a world class faculty with the latest sector research. There will be only a limited number of opportunities to take part in this course during 2010, and I would encourage you to be amongst the first to do so.''
