Rob Cope becomes new Remember A Charity Director

New Director will lead an integrated campaign to make gifts in wills the social norm.

Remember A Charity today announces the appointment Rob Cope, Director, Remember A Charityof a new Campaign Director, Rob Cope. The role of the Campaign’s Director is to lead an integrated communications, marketing and membership campaign that will make gifts in wills the social norm. Rob Cope will report to the Remember A Charity Executive Group and the Chief Executive of the Institute of Fundraising.

Remember A Charity is a consortium of over 140 charities, working together to raise awareness of charitable legacies. Remember A Charity aims to increase legacy income to UK charities and the number of people including a charity in their will. The consortium is hosted by the Institute of Fundraising.

Rob Cope was previously Deputy Director of Marketing and Communications at the Prince’s Trust. He was with The Prince's Trust for seven years, overseeing all high-profile national campaigns, including the first national youth week and The Trust's 30th birthday appeal on ITV1.

Rob Cope says:

'Many charities wouldn't survive without legacies. From homelessness to world heritage, most of us support a good cause at some point in our lives.

'This is a really exciting and unique opportunity to show how everyone can play their part to make sure this work continues.'
