An American-born Brit, Catherine has held senior development positions and consulted on both sides of the Atlantic for medical, legal, educational, arts/music, heritage, civil rights/liberties, and international development non-profit organisations.

Catherine's particular interest is major gifts and capital campaigns (preparing for campaigns, training gift solicitors, qualifying prospective donors, stewardship), establishing new fundraising development offices, gala fundraising events, governance, and fundraising strategy/development planning.  Catherine is the principal of FundraisingPoint, a legal branch of CommunicationsPoint Ltd., which she co-directs with her husband, Julian Demetriadi, a journalist and consultant for tourism, hospitality, the arts, and a range of non-profit organisations.  Catherine most recent client is  the cross-border fundraising agency, Chapel & York.  She has been an overseas grants researcher/strategist/writer in this capacity for Hope Foundation, the Cicely Saunders Institute, the Mission to End Leprosy (Ireland), the International Rule of Law Project, Womankind, The Toybox Charity, and Hantam Community Education Trust (South Africa). Other recent clients have included Arts4Dementia and The Choir with No Name (UK) and Kinera Foundation (Baltimore, USA).
