IoF South East & London - January IoF Thursday
Date: Thursday 11th Jan 2018
Venue: The Horniman
The future of fundraising – a personal perspective hosted by Institute of Fundraising Chair Amanda Bringans
Amanda Bringans will take a personal look at what the future of fundraising holds from her perspective as both Director of Fundraising at British Heart Foundation and as Chair of the Institute of Fundraising.
A perfect starting point for any fundraiser in 2018, she will look beyond the arrival of the GDPR, talk about BHFs approach, the challenges and opportunities ahead, and also the future priorities of the IoF in supporting the fundraising community and further developing the profession.
Amanda brings with her an impressive track record of experience having led fundraising teams at some of the UK’s most loved and supported charities. Her previous roles include Director of Global Fundraising and Communications at VSO and 16 years working at Macmillan Cancer Support where she became Director of Fundraising.
She has also held senior roles with Leonard Cheshire Disability and Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. Amanda joined the British Heart Foundation as its Director of Fundraising in December 2015.

Don't miss this event!
Where possible, we book reserve speakers for each IoF Thursday. These speakers will be able to give the 20 Minute Masterclass on a similar topic if our speaker is no longer able to attend. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, the speaker at an IoF Thursday event is unable to attend, we will notify you, and give you the details of the reserve speaker. We will email you via the address provided on the booking form as soon as possible. All those who have booked for the particular IoF Thursday will be able to cancel their place up to 5.00pm on the day of the event. If we are unable to confirm an alternative speaker for an IoF Thursday event, we will still go ahead and will facilitate a group discussion in place of the 20 Minute Masterclass, followed by a networking session.
