FICO was formed in 1997 as a forum for fundraisers working in Christian organisations.
FICO recognises the special responsibilities, opportunities and challenges facing fundraisers in Christian organisations and seeks to address these issues both positively and honestly. Currently we represent over
2,000 organisations through membership and attendance at our meetings and training events.
FICO offers a network of support and advice to its members through meetings, regular newsletter updates, a
. Meetings are held twice a year, primarily in London, although we are addressing the potential for regional meetings. Membership of FICO is open to all fundraisers working in Christian organisations, charities and places of worship, whether on a paid or voluntary basis.
FICO has no denominational affiliations.
We encourage our members to join the Institute of Fundraising. A small charge is made to attend each FICO meeting to cover the costs of room hire, refreshments and administration; this is reduced for IoF members. The costs vary and will be advised along with other details about the meeting.
We are very much a member led group; we seek
input to our programme content and act on feedback from members. Please do take the opportunity to 'Have your say' and let us know what would help you in your role as a Fundraiser in a Christian Organisation.
