We're delighted to welcome the following keynote speakers to the IoF Technology conference 2018:
Morning Keynote: Karen Pepper, General Manager, Amazon Pay
Trust in Connected Commerce
About the Speaker: Karen Pepper is the General Manager, UK for Amazon Pay. She is responsible for leading Amazon’s payment services for 3rd party merchants in the UK including Amazon Pay and the associated value added services. Karen is a 15-year veteran of the payments and start up industries. Most recently she was Global Head of Alliance Banks at JP Morgan where she managed relationships with 22 banks across 41 markets. Karen has also held executive positions at American Express and her own multi-million pound start up in the health and fitness sector. Karen sits on the board of Hatch, a UK incubator for social enterprises and on the board of Tamar, an anti-human trafficking charity. Karen holds a MBA from the London Business School.
About the Session: In the midst of drastic technological change and a shift in consumer behaviour, Amazon Pay continues to innovate on behalf of the customer. A core component of this is voice commerce. In this new world, it is clear that trust remains the determining factor for a customer’s purchasing decision- and that is just as true for donations. Karen will present on customer trends, and the innovations available to the charity world.
Afternoon Keynote: Liz Curry, Information Governance and GDPR Consultant, Barnardo's
About the Speaker: Liz Curry has spent 20 years in senior CRM and information governance roles in the charity sector, and has served on the DMA data council.
About the Session: Liz will explore whether the new data regulation will help charities to strike it rich or force them to spend years clearing up the mess. Will data teams have more cut-through in the boardroom as the public demand better systems to protect their data or will it be more trouble than it's worth? How can charities reignite trust and make a new deal with their supporters for their data? And what will the future bring, with new ePrivacy regulations on the horizon?
