Ethical issues in fundraising

Fundraisers strive to continually achieve high standards and ensure that they are working in an ethical way in everything they do.

But in fundraising, sometimes difficult situations can arise where you’re not sure what to do and there’s not a straightforward ‘yes or no’ answer.

To help our members recognise those tricky areas we have put together a short online learning module on Ethical Issues in Fundraising. It explains how fundraising is regulated and signposts to the standards that you need to follow, as well as taking you through five scenarios highlighting some of the difficult areas or situations that you might encounter and how to respond.

With top tips and including signposting to more information, by taking this short module, fundraisers will feel more confident and assured in their work in an ethical way.

The module is available exclusively to IoF Individual members and should take about 15 minutes to complete.

Access the Ethical Issues in Fundraising module here. You’ll be taken to a registration page where you’ll need to put in your name and email address and set a password to access the online learning area.

If you have any questions please get in touch with membership@institute-of-fundraising.org.uk
