A Perfect Fundraising Partnership
Perfect Fundraising Partnerships showcases new research on the opinions and experiences of both charities and senior volunteers working to raise major donations for the causes they support, as well as a series of detailed case studies.
The report, written by Solid Management and Consultancy Services in collaboration with the Institute of Fundraising’s Volunteer Board Special Interest Group and supported by the Pears Foundation shows that senior volunteers have been critical to the success of major fundraising campaigns in recent years, but their impact is not sufficiently understood.
The findings provide key insights about the importance of senior volunteers to the charity sector, and tips and recommendations for best practice in working together. It concludes by offering a series of action points to support fundraisers, volunteers and charities to collaborate in the most effective way.
Some of the report’s key recommendations and conclusions include:
- Involving senior volunteers in fundraising can result in high levels of growth
- 'Askers must be givers’ – senior volunteers asking others to donate, need to also give to the cause themselves
- The future still looks uncertain – many senior volunteers are not sure where the next generation will come from.
