Fundraising community celebrates Scottish excellence in fundraising

2 October 2019

The fundraising community gathered at a glittering ceremony at the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central last night to celebrate the Scottish Fundraising Awards.

The annual awards ceremony recognises and rewards excellence in fundraising and celebrate the achievements of those who are building and leading charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises.

The ceremony was hosted by fundraising expert Simon Scriver.

Virginia Anderson, Chair of IoF Scotland, said

It has been a privilege to celebrate the incredible work being done by some of the best fundraisers in Scotland. It’s my first Scottish Fundraising Awards as IoF Scotland chair, and I’m proud to congratulate all those projects and people that change lives every day. From providing heritage venues to hospices, so much is made possible by the people who work so hard to raise funds.

Susan Williams, chair of the Awards Committee, said

It was encouraging to see so many strong entries from across all categories this year, which shows that excellent fundraising continues to grow in Scotland. A massive congratulations to all of our winners, and a sincere thanks to all the amazing fundraisers who entered the running this year – you are all playing your part in making our sector great!
