The IoF and Scottish Fundraising Standards Panel sign new memorandum of understanding
4 October 2017
The Scottish Fundraising Standards Panel and the Institute of Fundraising have today signed a new memorandum of understanding.
This working agreement sets out how the organisations will work together to ensure a cohesive approach to Scotland's self-regulatory system of fundraising.
Alison Elliot, Chair of the Scottish Fundraising Standards Panel said:
“We’re incredibly pleased with this MoU, and the direction of Scottish fundraising. Both the IoF and the Panel believe that Scotland’s fundraisers and donors deserve clarity and openness about the regulatory system and the best training and information available. We believe this MoU is one more step toward providing that and strengthening our already strong working relationship."
Morag Fleming, Chair of the Institute of Fundraising Scotland said:
“Scotland’s fundraising community is made up of passionate people who work tirelessly to make a difference every day. We’re very glad to be working with the Scottish Fundraising Panel to ensure fundraisers and donors are getting the best possible information about how the sector is regulated in Scotland.”
